For the third round of grant funding through the Neighbourhood Partnership, a project fund of £10k was made available by Sovereign Housing Association Limited and Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.
Local community-based organisations were again able to apply for funding of up to £2,000 to implement projects in Buckskin and/or South Ham. Seven projects met the criteria and went forward to the public vote totalling £11,810 of project funding being sought.
On Saturday 5 September 2015 between 11am and 2pm, the public voted for the projects in Stratton Park alongside a Health Fun Day. Groups had the opportunity to promote their project through displays and attend to talk to those voting.
A total of 89 people turned out to vote. Each voter was asked to identify on a map where they lived or worked in the wards of Buckskin or South Ham. Each was given two votes to cast across two different projects.
The following projects secured the public vote and received the full amount of funding that they had asked for:
|St Andrew's Church||Mug and biscuit furniture||£1,000|
|Westside Community Association||Golden Oldies||£1,640|
|Buckskin Community Association||Buckskin Young People||£2,000|
